Baby strippers on the pole for the first time
I’m trying to watch pole dancing videos so I can get ideas for new tricks but they’re all on spinning poles and my club doesn’t have a spinning pole so I’m really frustrated because that’s…you know…different.
I have same problem lol I totally feel you. There’s a video I reblogged recently of someone on stage who has stationary pole which might be useful to you, it’s probably not far down on my blog. I liked it

it doesn’t seem to be productive to message me your uneducated point of view (I’m not “offended” by it–it’s blatant cultural appropriation but it’s hard to be offended by so many shuffling splayfooted sad housewives and young girls in ill fitting sports bras who don’t understand the power dynamics of what they’re playing with and only want some of our transgressive sexiness to rub off on them by association) and yet you did.
makes u think.
switch to aerial silks and stop being a loser.
“cultural appropriation”?
yes sugar plum. sexwork and stripping are a distinct underground culture although not ethnicity, tied together by the pressures and bonds of criminalisation and general murderability and disposability.
when you put your nasty little mitts on the pole trying to get some of our transgressive underground criminal class cred on your basic boring self, you are appropriating from some of the most marginalised and disposable people in the world.
so fuck yourself with my 9" pleaser heel and chill with the snide remarks. until you’ve lost home and family you don’t have a lucite platform to stand on and i laugh at your pathetic little scare quotes.
what’s the best city to dance in for a girl who has a face full of cthulhu tentacles? also since i literally don’t even exist on this plane, my ssn, birth certificate, drivers license, and passport are all in another dimension, can i still get hired somewhere?
and should i take pole dancing classes first?
suggestions on collagen supplements?
I’ve seen suggestions for supplements for strippers on a few posts but always kind of glossed over it until now. I thought there was collagen but also one other supplement usually recommended, or maybe it was a certain type of collagen, etc.
or, does anyone have insight in general if collagen/similar supplements have helped?
thank you guys!
In afterthought, I think I wish I would have told her slowly. Like what the advice articles say. And throw in relevant facts or food for thought about stripping and its stigma and everything. But I knew if I didn’t do it all at once that I would never be able to do it, so that’s what I did.
I’m so shaken up. I’ve been so immersed in this bubble, this tumblr community of strippers who love and feel so empowered by their jobs and I forgot just how much removed that is from the rest of the world, I think. It’s a shame. But so far, that is my advice. Do it over time. Test the waters to see how your parents/family/friends/whoever feels about strippers and adjust your future conversations based on their reactions. Even if it’ll be hard as fuck, it’s honestly probably the best way to do it. Even though they might get mad that it took you so long to say, it’s probably still better on you both.
Idk. These are ramblings of a very stressed stripper. I wish it had gone better. I’m home from spring break and I didn’t want to be here in the first place. Home is so passive aggressive and annoying and all that. I wish I were back at school.
I hate people who try so hard to associate themselves with strippers without actually doing the job.
Don’t wear stripper shoes and talk about how classy you are Because you’re not a stripper.
Don’t make jokes about what your stripper name would be and then be like “haha but I’d never do that, I respect myself! uwu”.
Don’t add onto our posts with “omg this is me!” When it’s not because you’re not even a sex worker of any sort.
Don’t get on a pole and perform our tricks that you stole from us and then act like youre better because you’re not making money from it.
People want to talk shit on us all day, say we’re nasty, call us homewreckers, coke whores, whatever the fuck makes them feel better but then you take the parts of our job you think are “cool” all while still treating us like shit.
Just want to educate real quick. Those are not ‘pole dance’ heels. They were not made for pole fitness, they were not made by people who do pole fitness, they are not even called ‘pole dance heels’ they are stripper heels. They were made for us so we didnt want to shoot our feet off after a shift of working in them nonstop. Stop erasing us from things that we do/use ,to eat, pay rent, survive. Besides, didnt y'all make some weird pole uggs, please use those since you wanna separate yourselves so badly
Stumbled across an online article on “how to get a stripper body”.
It included such tips as “wake up EARLY and run 1-2 miles”
and
“never eat after 10pm”
Like, do you people know what strippers actually are?? 😂
lol i need to see this article. do other strippers actually live like this? i don’t work out, usually wake up hungover past noon, eat fast food several times a week (usually around 3am) and my main source of nutrients is the locker room vending machine. the physical aspect of stripping is really the only reason i don’t gain weight
It’s 9:30 PM & I’m currently waiting on an order of gnocchi to be delivered to me at work. They’ve really got it twisted.
